Secret Garden

The other day when I was outside, I was looking around and noticed all the natural beauty around me. I decided to capture it using my iphone 8 camera. I am super impressed at how awesome that camera is.

Farmacy Bright On Massage-Activated Vitamin C Mask with Echinacea GreenEnvy™
BRIGHT_ON_LgStraightSmearProd_041618.R3_RGB2000_2000x
Farmacy has become my favorite skincare brand, so when I found out they were releasing a new mask, I knew I had to get it. This Vitamin C mask detoxes your face removing impurities. Plus, it changes colors which is pretty fun.

Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer

Now that it’s Summer, I want to get into using more cream products. I have heard amazing things about this product and I think it’s a perfect way to start. You get a ton of product in this stick and it’s creamy and easy to blend.

Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara
Captura-de-Tela-2018-04-17-às-15.35.56-620x341
Another product from Milk I have to try is the new Kush mascara. This mascara made quite the buzz on social media because of well, it’s name. The mascara is formulated with cannabis oil which allows for the creamy, nourishing formula.

Becca Be a Light Face Palette

Becca makes some of my favorite face products. I use their First Light Primer almost everyday along with their bronzer and highlighter. When I saw this new palette release, I was very intrigued. The product looks so beautiful and I like how you can get your entire face done in one palette. This palette contains a brightening powder, blur powder, blush and contour that you can also use as a bronzer.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation
peach2
I usually never try foundations labeled as “matte” but this one has caught my eye. This foundation didn’t create too much of a buzz when it released with the Too Faced Peaches n’ Cream collection. For some reason, now it’s becoming popular and a lot of beauty influencers are talking and raving about it. I’m interested to see what a “comfort matte” is. I wonder if it will be more hydrating than a regular matte foundation.

May Favorites

May was a great month for Spring makeup. A lot of the beauty brands launched their Spring/Summer collections that I couldn’t wait to check out. Here’s a list of some products I loved in May.

Wet n Wild Flights of Fancy Color Icon Blush in the shade Dare to Soar
Wet-n-Wild-Flights-Fancy-Color-Icon-Baked-Blush-Dare-Soar
Blush has been a huge part of my Spring/Summer makeup routine. In the Fall/Winter I tend to keep my blush very light and minimal. This season, I really wanted to step out of my comfort zone with blush and wear more bold colors. This blush is perfect for that. It looks intimidating in the pan, but honestly, any skin tone can rock this. It is a very glowy blush and it does not apply too pigmented so you can definitely build it up. Wet n Wild has been doing amazing with their makeup. I highly recommend this color and the other shades they have.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

I featured this product in my cruelty free drugstore wishlist and let me tell you, it has quickly become one of my favorite foundations of all time. I am a huge stick foundation fan so when I heard about a drugstore version, I had to get it. The color I got is perfect and I love the finish. It’s not too thick and a little goes a long way. I like to blend this out with my Morphe M439 brush which is perfect. The coverage is medium but buildable. It lasts all day on my face and it does not break me out which is a problem I have with a lot of foundations.

Morphe Continuous Setting Mist

PDP_Image_NEW_CSM_CLOSED

I have tried so many setting sprays and most have worked, but nothing compares to the mist on the Morphe one. Nothing bothers me more than a spray that squirts out on your face unevenly and leaves droplets. I always have to go back in with a beauty blender and pat the spray in. This Morphe spray is a true, fine mist. It is perfection. It smells great and you will never have to worry about water droplets ruining your makeup.

Elf Blush in the shade Candid Coral

I have been on a blush kick especially with bold colors and orange/coral colors. I wanted to try a true orange blush and I found the perfect one from Elf. This blush has gold glitter flecks in it but it does not look glittery on the face. It looks amazing over my bronzer, enhancing the warm glow of the bronzer.

NudeStix Nude Gel Balm Founder Set

Nudestix_Founders-Kit_Product_Swatch_Hover_grande

I had never tried a NudeStix product until a few months ago when I bought a matte lip trio. I loved the colors and formula and knew I had to try more from the brand. I saw that the founders of NudeStix, a mother and two daughters, came out with their own custom shades. They are in a gel formula and are super hydrating on the lips. I love the nude colors because they are perfect for work when I want to pop on something quick, easy and not too bold. If you haven’t tried anything from NudeStix, you definitely have to.

Buy This, Not That – Cruelty Free Dupes

If you are going cruelty free or are already cruelty free, here are some great cruelty free dupes.

Buy the Cover FX Blurring Primer instead of the Benefit Porefessional Primer. If you like a silicone primer that smooths your skin and covers pores, I would definitely recommend the Cover FX primer.

Buy the Morphe High Impact Highlighter in the shade Spark instead of the Nars Highlighting Powder in the shade Fort de France. These two are super similar in shade and formula so why not get the more affordable, cruelty free option?

final

Buy the Catrice Aqua Ink-in-Gloss Lip Stain instead of the Lancôme Matte Shaker. I was super excited to find a dupe for the Matte shakers. Although this is a very unique product, the Catrice one gives you a similar feel and finish. I would definitely check them out.

Cruelty Free Drugstore Makeup Wishlist

It’s been a hot minute since I have bought drugstore makeup. It’s difficult to find cruelty free makeup at the drug store, because the majority of the brands aren’t cruelty free. Here is my list of products I have on my wishlist and the majority of these you can get at Ulta.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

Foundation sticks are my absolute favorite. It seems like not a lot of people enjoy them as much as liquid foundations but for me, they apply and look so much better on my skin. My two favorite stick foundations are the Tarte Clay Stick and the Hourglass Vanish Stick foundation. This is a new product to Makeup Revolution and all the reviews I’ve seen so far have been great. Definitely need to try this.

Burt’s Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation

After sorting through my makeup collection, I noticed that I am lacking in foundations. Now that it’s becoming Summer, my skin color changes, so I need to buy some darker foundations. The Burt’s Bees foundation is another one I’d love to try. I have been super impressed with the Burt’s Bees makeup I have tried so far. Their blushes are amazing. Can’t wait to try this.

Flower Beauty Light Illusion Liquid Foundation
flower_li_foundation_m3_classic_tan_1
The last drug store foundation on my wishlist is the Flower Beauty Light Illusion. I haven’t tried many products from Flower Beauty, but I have heard good things about this foundation and I love a dewy foundation.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Conceal & Contour

makeup-revolution_conceal-define-full-coverage-conceal-contour_c10
To go with the Makeup Revolution stick foundation, I want to try their new concealer. People have been comparing this to the Tarte Shape Tape because it has a similar doe foot applicator. I want to test out if it’s similar. However, I’m actually hoping it’s a little less full coverage than the Shape Tape. In the Summer, I tend to like my makeup to look more natural because it’s too hot to be caked on with makeup.

Essence Brighten Up! Banana Powder
essence-polvos-brighten-up-banana-powder
Banana or yellowed toned powders are my favorite for setting my under eye concealer. I am currently using the Becca Hydra Mist powder which I love, but I notice it doesn’t do a great job at brightening. Can’t wait to try this powder, plus it’s only $4.99.

Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder
essence-sun-club-polvo-bronceador-mate-gran-tamano-02-morenas-piel-oscura-1-27327
Bronzers are my favorite makeup product so I am always looking to add more to my collection. I usually gravitate towards glowy bronzers so I don’t have a lot of matte bronzers. One of my favorite beauty Youtubers, Nicole Renee raves about this so I’m excited to see if I like it.

Milani Bold Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette
7f55cf41d1289ed44bec1e6c052d80f9

I have never tried Milani’s eyeshadows and this new palette looks very promising. I love how high quality this looks and I like that it’s a good neutral palette with a mix of mattes and metallics. This is great for everyday work makeup. I am excited to try Milani’s formula but the only downside is I don’t think you can get these in store.
